Directions for Use

• Preparation:

  • Ensure the ET Dental Cheek Retractor Y Type-Small is clean and sterilized before use. Check for any damage or defects.

• Positioning the Retractor:

  • Hold the retractor by its handles, ensuring a firm but comfortable grip.
  • Open the mouth of the patient gently, using your other hand to assist if necessary. The “Y” shape allows easy placement around the cheeks and lips.

• Placing the Retractor:

  • Position the arms of the Y-shaped retractor on either side of the patient’s mouth.
  • Insert the smaller arms into the vestibule (the space between the teeth and the cheek), gently pulling the cheek away from the teeth.
  • Ensure the retractor is seated properly, with the arms resting comfortably on the soft tissues without causing excessive pressure or discomfort.

• Adjusting the Tension:

  • Depending on the procedure, adjust the tension by gently pulling on the handles to retract the cheeks further. This helps create a clear working field for dental treatments.

• During the Procedure:

  • The retractor will hold the cheek and lips back, providing better visibility and access to the treatment area without the need for additional assistance.

• Removal:

  • After the procedure is complete, gently remove the retractor by releasing the tension and carefully pulling it out of the patient’s mouth.

• Post-Use Care:

  • Clean and sterilize the retractor thoroughly after each use to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
