Directions for Use

Repair of broken upper and lower hard acrylic dentures

• Clean and Dry the Denture: Thoroughly clean all denture pieces, ensuring they are completely dry. Use alcohol swabs to remove any stubborn residue or old adhesive.
• Assemble the Denture Pieces: Carefully join the broken pieces together, ensuring that no piece is missing and that the edges align perfectly.
• Apply Glue to the Crack: Apply a thin layer of glue along the entire cracked edge of one denture piece.
• Align and Hold: Hold the two pieces together, making sure the cracked edges are perfectly aligned. Maintain pressure to ensure a tight bond.
• Remove Excess Glue: After 20 seconds, use a damp cloth to wipe away any excess glue that has leaked from the crack on both sides of the denture.
• Check the Fit: Once the glue is fixed and dried, place the denture back in your mouth to check the fit. It should sit comfortably. If it feels uncomfortable, disassemble the pieces and repeat Steps 2 to 5.
• Prepare the Crack for Acrylic: Using the emery paper provided, gently rub along the crack on the tongue side (the eating side) of the denture to form a channel for the acrylic. Avoid rubbing the gum side of the crack.
• Mix the Superfix Acrylic: Take one pouch of Superfix and push the clear liquid up to the center seal towards the pink powder. Press the liquid bubble until the center seal “pops,” mixing the liquid with the powder.
• Create the Acrylic Paste: Using a round rod or the side of a round pen, mix the Superfix liquid and powder by pressing the rod up and down along the length of the pouch until a uniform pink paste is formed. Ensure all the powder is thoroughly mixed into the liquid.
• Apply the Acrylic Paste: Cut open the Superfix pouch along the center seal and gently pour a small, steady stream of the paste onto the crack.
• Remove Excess Paste: After 2 minutes, wipe away any excess Superfix paste using a damp cloth.
• Cure the Repair: Place the repaired denture in hot water for about 30 minutes to allow the acrylic to fully cure.
• Smooth Rough Edges: Using the emery paper, smooth off any rough or sharp edges of the cured Superfix acrylic.
• Clean the Repaired Denture: Clean the repaired denture using your usual denture cleaning agents before placing it back in your mouth.
• Final Fit Check: Once the denture is clean and dry, place it in your mouth to ensure a comfortable fit. If the denture feels uncomfortable, repeat the process from Step 7 to achieve the desired fit.

Refixing of dislodged teeth

• Tooth preparation: Using the emery paper rub away some of the old hard acrylic in the tooth
  socket. Place the emery paper on a flat surface and rub the fitting surface of dislodged tooth on it to remove the old hard acrylic.
• Reaffixing a dislodged tooth: Place a small amount of mixed Superfix acrylic in the prepared tooth socket. Press the tooth into the socket making sure it is aligned with adjacent
  teeth of denture.
