Directions for Use

Preparation

• Confirm the Multi Unit Abutment is already seated and torqued onto the implant per the manufacturer’s protocol
• Verify the healing abutment diameter and cuff height suit the patient’s soft tissue thickness
• Inspect the healing abutment for visible damage and sterilize via autoclave before placement

Placement

• Clean the multi unit abutment platform of any debris or biological material
• Align the healing abutment with the MUA platform and hand-tighten with the appropriate driver
• Verify the healing abutment is fully seated with no gap at the abutment interface
• Adapt the surrounding soft tissue gently around the cuff for optimal contouring

Healing Phase

• Allow the soft tissue to heal and contour around the abutment for the recommended period
• Schedule routine recall visits to monitor soft tissue maturation and oral hygiene
• Counsel the patient on cleaning around the healing abutment using interdental aids

Removal

• Locate and unscrew the healing abutment using the appropriate driver at the impression appointment
