Directions for Use

• Verify compatibility — Confirm the screw matches the ICX multi-unit abutment and implant platform you’re working with.
• Sterilise — Clean and autoclave the screw before use.
• Position the component — Seat the multi-unit abutment or screw-retained restoration onto the implant/abutment in its correct orientation.
• Engage by hand — Thread the screw in by hand first to avoid cross-threading. It should turn smoothly with no resistance.
• Apply torque — Using the correct screwdriver and a calibrated torque wrench, tighten to the recommended torque (15–25 Ncm per ICX protocol). Don’t over-torque.
• Allow for settling — Wait a few minutes, then re-torque to the same value to compensate for screw and abutment settling, if your protocol calls for it.
• Seal the access channel — Protect the screw head with PTFE tape or a temporary material, then close the access hole with composite (for screw-retained restorations).
• Inspect before reuse — Check threads for wear or damage before any reuse; use a fresh screw for the final restoration where preload accuracy matters.
