• Verify the screw matches the 4.8mm platform and is compatible with your OSSTEM multi-unit system.
• Position the prosthetic component (bridge framework, bar, or temporary cylinder) onto the multi-unit abutment, checking for complete, passive seating with no rocking or gaps.
• Insert the multi-unit screw through the prosthesis access channel into the abutment using the correct matching screwdriver, keeping it straight to avoid cross-threading.
• Hand-tighten clockwise until you feel light resistance, confirming the prosthesis is fully seated.
• Take a periapical radiograph to verify complete seating at the abutment interface before final torque.
• Apply the recommended torque using a calibrated torque wrench (typically 15 Ncm for multi-unit prosthetic screws — confirm with your system’s protocol).
