Description

Bisco Bis-Silane Porcelain Primer is a two-part silane coupling agent designed to optimize bonding between porcelain restorations and resin cements. It comes in two separate bottles, Bis-Silane A and Bis-Silane B, each 6ml, which must be mixed before application. This system provides enhanced shelf-life stability, ensuring long-lasting and effective adhesion. Bis-Silane™ significantly improves resin’s mechanical and chemical bonding to porcelain, resulting in a more durable and reliable restoration. It also protects porcelain surfaces from contamination during the bonding process and enhances resistance to water leakage at the bonding interface. This primer is versatile and suitable for all porcelain and glass-ceramic substrates, including lithium disilicate (e.max®) restorations. Bis-Silane™ is ideal for achieving strong, stable bonds in various dental restoration applications, contributing to the longevity and success of the restoration.

Specifications

Bis-Silane A:

• Contains methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) and other stabilizers.

Bis-Silane B:

Packaging

Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Shake both Bis-Silane A and Bis-Silane B bottles well before use.

Mixing:

• Dispense equal parts of Bis-Silane A and Bis-Silane B onto a mixing pad or well.
• Mix thoroughly until the components are fully combined.

Application:

• Apply the mixed silane coupling agent to the surface of the porcelain restoration using a brush or applicator.
• Ensure even coverage over the entire bonding area.

Drying:

• Allow the primer to air dry for the recommended time specified in the product instructions (typically 1-2 minutes).

Bonding:

• Proceed with the application of resin cement as per the cement manufacturer’s instructions.

Storage:

• Store unused components in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed, and away from direct light.
