Directions for Use

Cavity Base Application:

• Remove the plastic tip cover from the tube.
• Attach the applicator tip securely onto the tube.
• Gently push the handle of the tube forward until the paste emerges slightly.
• Avoiding excess flow, retract the handle slightly to control the paste.
• Dot the cavity base with pinpoint amounts of the paste, using the applicator tip.
• Spread the paste evenly over the cavity base using the tip end of the applicator.
• A minimal quantity of Cal Excel is adequate to cover the cavity base.
• Spread the paste thinly and uniformly over the cavity base; it will dry within seconds.
• Any excess paste can be gently wiped onto the sidewalls of the cavity without causing harm.
• Once dried, proceed with applying cement or other filling materials directly over the Cal Excel layer.

Base for Deep Cavities:

• Apply several thin layers of Cal Excel alternately in deep cavities.
• Ensure each layer dries completely before applying the next layer.
• Use the same technique as for cavity base application to spread each layer evenly.
• Build up a cushion of Cal Excel to the desired thickness for effective thermal insulation and chemical protection of the pulp.

Endodontic Application:

• For temporary filling of root canals, apply Cal Excel using a rotary past filler.
• Ensure thorough coverage and protection to promote optimal healing and protection during endodontic procedures.

Hygiene Maintenance:

• After each use, clean the applicator tip thoroughly using a disinfecting solution and a small cotton pad.
• Immediately return the disinfected applicator tip to its original plastic cap to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity.
