Description

Healiguide is a bioresorbable, implantable Type-I collagen barrier membrane indicated for guided tissue regeneration (GTR) of periodontal defects. The thin collagen sheet is purified from selected animal tissues using a patented American technology, with additional charge modifications and partial calcification that channel the cellular response toward osteoconduction rather than fibrogenesis — the differentiator from conventional native collagen membranes.

Within the broader category of bone grafts and membranes used in regenerative dentistry, Healiguide’s complete resorbability removes the need for a second surgical procedure to retrieve the membrane, as required with non-resorbable PTFE alternatives.

Contraindications:

• Infectious or contaminated cases of the oral cavity
• Patients with known hypersensitivity to collagen
• Clinical situations where periodontal surgery is otherwise contraindicated

Directions for Use

• Following the opening of the vial in a clean & sterile environment, take out the sterile, healiguide membrane.
• Soak the sterile membrane in sterile water for 1 min. 
• Following soaking, the membrane becomes pliable and may be cut to shape to use for the surgery.
• It can be easily sutured with 3-O Silk.
