Directions for Use

• Ensure the area is fully anesthetized and the retained root is assessed radiographically for position and access.
• Use a periosteal elevator first to luxate the root and widen the periodontal space.
• Seat the angled beaks as deep as possible onto the root, advancing apically beneath the gingiva to grip below the fracture line.
• Hold the handle with a firm, balanced grip, keeping the beaks parallel to the long axis of the root.
• Apply gentle buccolingual (labial–lingual) movements to expand the socket.
• Deliver the root with steady, controlled apical-to-occlusal traction.
• Inspect the socket to confirm complete removal of the root and any fragments.
• Clean and autoclave the forceps after every use.
