Key Highlights

Complete 21-piece stainless steel oral surgical impaction kit for impacted tooth extractions and advanced exodontia procedures

Description

The extraction of the mandibular third molar is the most frequent intervention in oral surgery and it is sometimes associated with less or more severe complications. The choice of the surgical instruments is not random but it is an integral part of the method. In addition to standard surgery tools (scalpel, retractor, forceps for tissues, needle holder, rongeur), the tray for surgical extraction of impacted teeth includes some dedicated tools too.

Directions for Use

  • Scalpel Handle round:

    • Purpose: Used for holding microsurgical scalpel blades.
    • Directions: Insert the scalpel blade securely into the slotted tip of the handle. Ensure the blade is positioned correctly for precise incisions during surgical procedures. Use with controlled pressure and steady hand movements for accurate cutting.
  • Periosteal Elevator Molt No.9:

    • Purpose: Features a wide, sharp blade for reflecting and retracting the mucoperiosteum.
    • Directions: Insert the elevator beneath the mucoperiosteum and gently retract to expose the underlying bone. Use the sharp edge to carefully detach and elevate the periosteum from the bone surface, facilitating access and visibility during surgery.
  • Bone File Miller Col-burn:

    • Purpose: Cross-cut bone file used for final smoothing and shaping of bone surfaces.
    • Directions: Select the appropriate width (8.1 mm or 4.8 mm) based on the surgical site. Use the file with light, controlled strokes to smooth rough bone edges and shape bone contours after surgical procedures such as extractions or osteotomies.
  • Bone Curettes Lucas:

    • Purpose: Designed for curettage, tooth debridement, and cyst removal.
    • Directions: Insert the curette into the tooth socket or surgical site. Use the sharp edge to remove debris, granulation tissue, or cystic material from bone surfaces. Use gentle scraping motions to ensure thorough cleaning and preparation of the surgical area.
  • Osteotome Chisel 4mm:

    • Purpose: Straight instrument with a sharp distal end for cutting bone.
    • Directions: Position the osteotome on the bone surface and gently tap with a mallet to cut through bone tissue. Use controlled force and precise movements to achieve desired bone cuts and preparations during surgical procedures.
  • Heidbrink Left and Right Root Elevators:

    • Purpose: Fine-tipped elevators for removing root fragments and accessing hard-to-reach areas.
    • Directions: Insert the elevator along the root surface or into the tooth socket. Use the fine tip to engage and lift root fragments or splinters, ensuring careful extraction without damaging surrounding structures.
  • Frazier Suction Tube 3mm:

    • Purpose: Attached to a suction system for evacuating blood, fluids, and tissue debris.
    • Directions: Connect the Frazier suction tube to the suction apparatus. Use the tube tip to aspirate fluids and debris from the surgical site, maintaining clear visibility and a clean operating field throughout the procedure.
  • Cryer Left and Right Root Elevators:

    • Purpose: Triangle-shaped elevators for managing broken roots in tooth sockets.
    • Directions: Insert the Cryer elevator into the tooth socket. Use the triangular tip to engage and lift broken root fragments while ensuring adjacent areas remain undisturbed. Rotate the instrument as needed to facilitate complete root removal.
  • Suture Scissors Heath:

    • Purpose: Non-ratcheted scissors for removing sutures.
    • Directions: Grasp the suture with the scissor tips and cut close to the knot. Use steady hand movements to ensure precise cutting without causing unnecessary trauma to the surrounding tissues.
  • Adson Tooth Forceps 15cm:

    • Purpose: For holding and manipulating delicate tissues.
    • Directions: Grasp the tissue or surgical material with the forceps tips. Use controlled pressure to manipulate tissues during surgery, ensuring gentle handling and precise positioning as required.
