Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Sterilize the instrument using an autoclave or appropriate sterilization method before use
• Prepare other orthodontic tools, such as brackets, archwires, and elastics, as well as any patient-specific materials

Positioning the Patient:

• Ensure the patient is seated comfortably in the dental chair with the teeth accessible for treatment
• The patient may be asked to bite down or remain relaxed during the procedure

Placing the Ligature:

• Grip the instrument firmly and use the precision-sharp tips to position the ligature wire or elastic around the bracket
• For wire ligatures, use the instrument to twist and tighten the ligature securely around the bracket

Securing the Ligature:

• After placing the ligature, use the instrument to gently tighten it, applying appropriate pressure to secure the archwire without damaging surrounding tissues
• For elastic ligatures, ensure even placement around each bracket

Post-Procedure Care:

• Monitor the patient to ensure the appliance is properly positioned and there is no discomfort
