Description

Waldent Gutta Percha Points 6% are precisely designed to fit prepared root canals using either cold lateral compaction or warm vertical compaction. It is a thermoplastic filling material that is heated and compressed into the canal(s) of the tooth which is then sealed with adhesive cement. Length marking helps in accurate depth measurement and insertion for successful treatments.

Directions for Use

• Select Appropriate Size: Choose the gutta-percha point size that corresponds to the dimensions of the prepared canal. The length markings aid in accurate depth measurement.
• Inspect for Integrity: Before use, inspect the gutta-percha point for any defects or irregularities. Ensure it is free from any visible damage.
• Prepare the Canal: After cleaning and shaping the canal, ensure it is thoroughly dried. Remove excess moisture to promote effective obturation.
• Insertion: Carefully insert the gutta-percha point into the canal, using a gentle and controlled manner. The length markings assist in gauging the depth of insertion.
• Confirmation: Confirm that the gutta-percha point reaches the desired depth without any resistance. Verify its position with radiographs if necessary.Ensure complete sealing along the entire length of the canal, if not, add any accessory gutta – percha points as needed.
• Cutting and Sealing: Trim the gutta-percha point at the orifice level using a heated instrument or by following the established obturation technique. Seal the canal effectively.
• Verify Obturation Quality: Use radiographs to confirm the quality of obturation and the proper sealing of the canal.
• Final Restoration: Proceed with the final restoration of the tooth as per the treatment plan.
