Directions for Use

Preparation

• Place the dental lathe on a stable, vibration-free surface.

• Ensure the unit is properly connected to the power supply as per the specified voltage and wattage.

• Check that all attachments (buffer, stone, and bur chuck) are securely mounted before operation.

Installation of Accessories

• Select the required chuck (Buffer / Stone / Bur) according to the procedure.

• Insert the tool into the chuck and tighten it firmly to avoid slippage.

• For models with a flexible metal cable arm, connect the arm properly to the lathe before use.

Operation

• Switch on the lathe using the power button.

• Adjust the operating speed (where multiple speeds are available) to suit the material and application.

• Gently bring the workpiece into contact with the rotating tool. Apply light and consistent pressure; avoid forcing the material onto the wheel.

During Use

• Continuously monitor the operation to prevent overheating of the motor and attachments.

• For continuous-rated models, the machine can be run without interruption. For models rated 60 minutes, allow the machine to cool after the duty cycle.

• Use protective eyewear, masks, and gloves while operating to prevent injury from dust or flying particles.

After Use

• Switch off the power and wait until the tool completely stops before removing or changing attachments.

• Clean the machine, cable arms, and accessories with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris.

• Store the unit in a dry, dust-free environment.

Maintenance

• Check bearings, chucks, and flexible arms periodically for wear.

• Replace carbon brushes (for clinical models with spare carbon sets) as required.

• Lubricate moving parts as per manufacturer’s recommendation.

• Do not use the lathe in wet conditions to avoid electrical hazards.
