Directions for Use

Initial Preparation:

• Ensure the packer is clean and sterilized before use.
• Wipe the packer with 70% IPA-soaked gauze to prepare it for cleaning.

Cleaning Process:

• Place the packer in an ultrasonic cleaner with Henry Schein General Purpose Cleaner or an equivalent detergent.
• Run the cleaner for 2-10 minutes to thoroughly clean the packer.
• Rinse the packer with warm water for 1-2 minutes to remove any detergent residue.

Drying:

• Dry the packer using gauze.
• Allow the packer to air dry for 30 minutes to ensure it is completely dry before use.

Sterilization:

• Place the cleaned and dried packer in approved sterilization packaging (ISO11407 & ISO11607).
• Sterilize the packer in an autoclave using the pre-vacuum cycle with a minimum exposure time of 3 minutes at 132°C/270°F.
• After sterilization, store the packer in its sterilized packaging until ready for use.

Usage:

• Select the appropriate angle (45° or 90°) based on the tooth and area being treated.
• Use the packer to securely grip and pack Ultrapak™ knitted cord during dental procedures.
• Ensure the packer is not bent or damaged before and during use.

Maintenance and Inspection:

• Regularly inspect the packer for any signs of damage or debris.
• If debris is present, repeat the cleaning process before sterilization.

Storage:

• Store the packer in its sterilized packaging in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
• If the sterilization packaging is compromised, repeat the sterilization process before use.
