Tooth Preparation: Complete cavity preparation and ensure the area is clean and dry
Band Selection: Choose the No.8 straight matrix band suitable for the specific tooth and cavity size
Insert into Retainer: Place the band into a universal matrix retainer (e.g., Tofflemire retainer), ensuring the straight edge aligns correctly
Positioning: Carefully position the band around the tooth, adjusting the retainer to achieve a snug fit. Ensure the band extends slightly beyond the gingival margin for proper seal
Tighten: Secure the retainer to hold the band firmly in place without collapsing the contact area

Restoration: Place the restorative material (composite or amalgam), contour as needed, and cure or set according to manufacturer instructions
