Directions for Use

• Select the Correct Band Size:

  • Try different band sizes on the first molar until you find one that fits snugly without excessive force, similar to finding a shoe that fits properly

• Fit and Adapt the Band:

  • Place the band on the tooth using finger pressure

  • Use a band pusher or band seater to carefully seat the band between the contacts

  • If needed, have the patient bite on a bite stick to help fully seat the band

  • Ensure the band contours closely to the tooth’s shape, adapting it to fit the grooves and prevent open margins

• Check Position and Comfort:

  • Confirm that the band is fully seated, well-adapted, and does not impinge on the gums

  • Make sure the laser marking and attachments are in the correct orientation for the Roth prescription

• Cement the Band:

  • Remove the band, dry the tooth, and apply a suitable orthodontic band cement (preferably fluoride-releasing for added protection)

  • Re-seat the band on the tooth, remove excess cement, and allow it to set

• Final Checks:

  • Verify the band is stable and comfortable for the patient

  • Attach the archwire or other appliances as needed for your Roth 0.018 system
