Description

Mani Sec-O K files with rounded tip, are different from the conventional ones, makes the canal preparation safe and reliable.

The tip of O-Files slides on the outer wall of curved canal which makes it operate safer not only by hand but also mechanically.

The handle diameter of O-Files is 4mm and it is attached to head with one motion. The handle withstands dry heat sterilization up to 200 degree Celsius without any discoloration or deformation.

Mani Sec-O K files are distinguished from standard K files due to a “safe-ended” tip. Standard K files have an “active” (cutting) tip. Specifically, the tip of a standard K file is quite sharp due to the acute transition from the tip to the fluting. An active tip results in an increased possibility of ledging and canal transportation. Due to the active cutting tip, as the file is moving around a curvature, it tends to become engaged preferentially against the outer canal wall as it rounds the curve leading to possible transportation.

Alternatively, a safe-ended file has a rounded transition at the junction of the tip and the fluting. As a result, the file tip is less likely to “dig into” the canal wall and initiate canal transportation. While using a safe-ended tip is not a guarantee to avoid transportation, it provides a relative protection without decreasing the functionality of the K file.

SEC-O K files exclusively minimize the risk of canal transportation and simplify ones armamentarium at a minimal cost increase per file.

Directions for Use

• Select appropriate file size based on canal morphology.

• Insert the file gently into the prepared access cavity.

• Use balanced force or watch-winding motion for controlled shaping.

• Allow the rounded tip to glide along the outer canal curvature.

• Irrigate frequently to remove debris and maintain patency.

• Progress sequentially through larger sizes as needed.

• Sterilize between uses as per dry heat or autoclave protocol.
