Description

Maarc ETC-37 Phosphoric Acid Etchant is a professionally formulated etching agent containing 37% phosphoric acid, designed to effectively prepare tooth surfaces for optimal bonding. Available in both gel and liquid forms, ETC-37 ensures superior control and handling during application. Its thixotropic gel consistency allows precise placement without undesired flow, making it ideal for both anterior and posterior applications. The etchant is suitable for surface etching of enamel and dentin, aiding in micromechanical retention prior to the placement of resin-based restorative materials. Directions for Use

• Isolate the tooth using a rubber dam or cotton rolls to prevent moisture contamination.

• Clean the tooth surface with a pumice slurry and rinse thoroughly.

• Dry the surface gently without desiccating the dentin.

• Apply the etchant (gel or liquid) evenly on the enamel and/or dentin using a dispensing tip or applicator.

• Leave the etchant in place:

• Enamel: 15–30 seconds

• Dentin: 10–15 seconds

• Rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 seconds to remove all etchant.

• Dry the surface gently:

• Enamel should appear frosty white.

• Dentin should remain moist (not desiccated).

• Proceed with the bonding agent and restorative procedure as per standard protocol.
