Directions for Use
Step 1 — Select the Correct Blank Diameter
- Choose the appropriate blank diameter based on your restoration size and milling machine compatibility
- Confirm the selected diameter fits your CAD/CAM milling unit’s holder
- Inspect the blank for any cracks or deformities before loading
Step 2 — Design the Restoration in CAD Software
- Import the scanned preparation data into your CAD software
- Design the restoration — crown, bridge, inlay, onlay, or coping
- Verify margins, contours, and occlusal anatomy in the software before milling
- Save and send the verified design file to the milling machine
Step 3 — Load the Wax Blank
- Insert the selected blue wax blank securely into the milling machine holder
- Ensure the blank is firmly locked with no movement
- Confirm correct blank diameter and thickness are entered into the milling software
Step 4 — Set Milling Parameters
- Select wax as the material type in the milling software
- Use dry milling mode — wax blanks do not require water or coolant
- Set appropriate milling speed for wax material
- Preview the milling path before starting to confirm correct positioning
Step 5 — Mill the Restoration
- Start the milling cycle and allow it to complete fully
- Do not interrupt the milling cycle midway
- The blue colour provides excellent visual contrast for easy inspection after milling
Step 6 — Remove & Inspect the Milled Pattern
- Carefully remove the milled wax pattern from the blank
- Inspect all margins, contours, and occlusal anatomy for accuracy
- Check that all margins are clean, sharp, and well-defined
- Minor refinements can be made using a wax carver or scalpel
Step 7 — Verify on the Model
- Seat the milled wax pattern on the working die or stone model
- Check the following:
- Marginal fit and seating
- Proximal contacts
- Occlusal clearance
- Overall tooth form and contour
Step 8 — Make CAD Adjustments if Needed
- If the wax pattern reveals any fit or design issues go back to the CAD software
- Make necessary corrections to the digital design
- Re-mill a new wax pattern to verify the corrected design
- Repeat until the wax pattern fits perfectly on the model
