Kuraray Caries Detector is a fast, easy-to-use caries disclosing agent designed for conservative dentistry. It selectively stains only non-remineralizable, infected dentin, enabling clinicians to precisely remove decalcified and carious tissue while preserving healthy, remineralizable dentin and protecting pulp vitality. The red dye provides clear visual guidance during excavation, helping to minimize unnecessary removal of sound tooth structure and ensuring optimal caries removal. Its composition includes propane-1,2-diol and dye, and it is supplied in 2 x 6 ml bottles. This product supports effective cavity preparation and maximizes the conservation of healthy dental tissue.

Directions for Use
- Step 1
Isolate carious tooth with rubber dam.After initial excavation of carious enamel
and dentine over infected site, wash and dry.
- Step 2
Place one drop of CARIES DETECTOR on a sponge pledget and apply to the cavity
- Step 3
Leave for 10 seconds, then rinse with water.Remove the exposed outer carious dentin,which will be stained red.
- Step 4
Repeat detection to ensure removal of the infected carious.
