Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct a thorough examination and diagnostic analysis of the patient’s dental condition and treatment needs.
• Bracket Selection: Choose the appropriate Koden Platinum Series MBT Bracket size and prescription based on the treatment plan.

Bracket Bonding:

• Tooth Surface Preparation:
  • Clean the tooth surfaces with pumice to remove any plaque or debris.
  • Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with oil-free air.
  • Isolate the teeth to prevent contamination from saliva.

Etching:

• Apply an etching gel to the tooth surface for 30 seconds.
• Rinse thoroughly with water and dry the teeth completely.

Bonding Agent Application:

• Apply a thin layer of bonding agent to the etched tooth surface.
• Light cure the bonding agent.

Bracket Placement:

• Apply orthodontic adhesive to the base of the Koden Platinum Series MBT Bracket.
• Position the bracket on the tooth surface with gentle pressure to ensure proper alignment and adhesion.
• Remove any excess adhesive around the bracket base.
• Light cure the adhesive from multiple angles to ensure a strong bond.

Wire Insertion:

• Archwire Selection: Select the appropriate archwire based on the treatment plan and stage.
• Archwire Placement: Insert the archwire into the bracket slots, ensuring it is properly seated. Secure the archwire with ligatures or self-ligating mechanisms as required.

Monitoring and Adjustments:

• Regular Check-Ups: Schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. Evaluate the movement of teeth and adjust the archwire or ligatures as needed.
• Wire Changes: Periodically replace the archwire to continue progressing through the treatment stages.

Debonding:

• Completion Assessment: Assess the patient’s progress to determine if treatment is complete and if the brackets can be removed.
• Bracket Removal: Use appropriate orthodontic instruments to carefully remove the Koden Platinum Series MBT Brackets without damaging the tooth enamel.
• Adhesive Removal: Clean and polish the teeth to remove any residual adhesive and restore the tooth surface.

Post-Treatment Care:

• Retention: Provide retention appliances such as clear retainers or bonded retainers to maintain treatment results and prevent relapse.
