Directions for Use

• Tooth Preparation –
• Clean the tooth surface, isolate (preferably with rubber dam), and prepare the cavity according to standard restorative protocols.

• Adhesive Application –
• Apply an appropriate bonding agent (etch-and-rinse or self-etch) as per manufacturer’s instructions and light cure.

• Composite Placement –
• Extrude IPS Empress® Direct Dentin composite directly from the syringe and place it in increments of maximum 2 mm.

• Shaping & Contouring –
• Sculpt and adapt the material to the cavity walls, ensuring natural dentin anatomy and avoiding air entrapment.

• Light Curing –
• Polymerize each increment thoroughly using a curing light with the recommended intensity and exposure time.

• Layering (Optional) –
• For superior aesthetics, cover the dentin layer with enamel or translucent shades to mimic natural tooth structure.

• Finishing & Polishing –
• Adjust occlusion, refine contour, and polish the restoration to a high gloss for long-lasting aesthetics.
