HEMOSPONGE Standard

It is widely used for arresting the bleeding following tooth extraction. It may also be used in other oral surgeries and in areas where the small size of the sponge is an advantage, e.g., epistaxis.

How HEMOSPONGE works:

The spongy structure of HEMOSPONGE provides surface to thrombocytes of oozing blood, enabling thrombocytes to release a series of substances and promoting self aggregation. At the same time it also makes thrombocytes to act as a catalyst for the formation of the fibrin, activating a cascade of blood coagulation.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure the bleeding site is clean and free from debris before applying HEMOSPONGE.
• Application: Gently place the sponge on the bleeding site, ensuring it covers the area where hemostasis is needed.
• Activation: Allow the sponge to interact with the oozing blood. Its spongy structure aids in thrombocyte aggregation and fibrin formation.
• Observation: Monitor the site for effective hemostasis. HEMOSPONGE helps catalyze the coagulation cascade, promoting clot formation.
• Removal: After bleeding stops, remove any excess sponge material if necessary, following the specific procedure’s requirements.
