Directions for Use

• Preparation:

  • Ensure the Fox Plane is clean and ready for use.
  • Prepare the maxillary or mandibular wax rim on the dental cast.

• Initial Placement:

  • Position the Fox Plane on the occlusal surface of the wax rim.
  • Align the central notch of the Fox Plane with the midline of the wax rim.

• Horizontal Alignment:

  • Compare the position of the Fox Plane to the interpupillary line.
  • Adjust the wax rim as needed to make the plane parallel to this line, ensuring proper esthetics.

• Anteroposterior Alignment:

  • Check the Fox Plane’s orientation against the Camper’s line (from the tragus of the ear to the ala of the nose).
  • Modify the posterior portion of the wax rim to ensure parallel alignment.

• Final Adjustments:

  • Verify that the plane is balanced and consistent with the patient’s anatomical landmarks.
  • Remove the Fox Plane and refine the wax rim to finalize the occlusal plane.

• Post-Use Care:

  • Clean and disinfect the Fox Plane thoroughly before storing it.
