Frank Dental Straight Round End (SR) Coarse Diamond Burs (made in germany) are manufactured from the highest quality steel shanks using exquisite natural diamonds to match international specifications. This advanced manufacturing, using computer controlled precision engineering, ensures true concentricity and balance, minimising vibration and potential damage to handpiece bearings and at the same time improving cutting efficiency and product longevity.

Different grain sizes allow the targeted removal of specific volumes and maximum conservation of tooth substance. The burs are available in various sizes. 

The Diamond plating of these burs is carried out under strictly controlled conditions specific to the bur pattern involved.

Directions for Use

• Sterilization: Ensure the bur is autoclaved prior to first use and between patients, adhering to standard infection control protocols.
• Insertion: Insert the FG (Friction Grip) bur into a compatible high-speed handpiece. Verify that it is fully seated and spins concentrically without vibration.
• Clinical Application: Use the bur for procedures requiring rapid bulk reduction such as removal of old restorations, cavity preparation, or shaping for crowns, inlays, onlays, and bridges.
• Technique: Apply light to moderate pressure with a steady motion to allow the coarse diamond particles to cut efficiently. Use the rounded end to create a smooth cavity base and straight fissure sides to form parallel walls.
• Cooling: Operate under constant water spray to reduce frictional heat, protect pulpal tissue, and maintain bur longevity.
• Post-Procedure Handling: After use, rinse off debris, disinfect, and autoclave the bur before storage or reuse. Inspect the bur for wear or damage before each use.
• Storage: Store in a clean, dry bur organizer to prevent contamination and preserve cutting efficiency. Replace if cutting performance diminishes.
