The Dentaltech Straumann BLT Compatible Ti Base (RC, Non-Hex) is a precision-machined titanium interface for fabricating screw-retained CAD/CAM restorations on Straumann Bone Level Tapered implants with the Regular CrossFit (RC) connection. Machined from Grade 5 titanium alloy, it delivers a tight, well-fitting connection to the implant while providing a bondable surface for zirconia or lithium disilicate mesostructures. The non-engaging (Non-Hex) design allows rotational freedom, making it the correct choice for splinted units, bridges, and multi-unit cases where passive seating is essential. A retentive geometry and defined cement gap support a reliable bond between the base and the milled superstructure. Compatible with standard digital workflows. Supplied with the prosthetic screw for direct chairside or lab use.

Directions for Use

1. Digital Impression

• Position the implant-specific scan body on the fixture or master cast analogue.
• Capture the implant position using an intra-oral or laboratory desktop scanner.
• Alternatively, take a pick-up impression with an implant-level transfer coping and pour a cast with a laboratory analogue.

2. Restoration Design and Fabrication

• Design the restoration in CAD software
• Maintain a minimum abutment sleeve height of 4 mm for adequate bonding surface.
• Mill in zirconia, lithium disilicate or hybrid ceramic.

3. Extra-Oral Cementation

• Lute the restoration to the Ti Base using a dual-cure hybrid-abutment resin cement
• Seat under uniform digital pressure, remove excess cement, and photopolymerise for recommended time.
• Obturate the screw access channel with PTFE tape and polish the crown-to-Ti Base junction.

4. Intra-Oral Delivery

• Remove the healing abutment and irrigate the implant well with sterile saline.
• Seat the bonded assembly and confirm complete passive seating radiographically.
• Insert the prosthetic screw and hand-tighten before final torquing.

5. Torque Application

• Apply torque with a calibrated torque wrench per the implant manufacturer’s specification.

6. Screw Access Closure

• Insert PTFE tape into the screw access channel to protect the screw head.
• Seal the coronal two millimetres with a light-cured composite resin.
• Verify occlusal contacts in centric and excursive movements; adjust and polish.
