D-Tech Iono-Coat Protective Varnish Coating is a colourless, self-curing protective liner designed for Glass Ionomer restorations during the initial setting or primary hardening period. Glass Ionomers suffer maximum erosion during the initial 24 hours due to ongoing aluminium complexing, making surface protection essential during this period. Iono-Coat forms a thin protective film over restorations that lasts approximately 24 hours and effectively protects the restoration from moisture contamination and erosion. The formulation utilizes a natural solvent derived from orange oil, eliminating the offensive odour associated with acetone-based varnishes. The nano-filled protective coating enhances surface gloss, improves wear resistance, and protects restoration margins effectively. It is suitable for use on Glass Ionomer and composite restorations requiring smooth, glossy, and durable surface protection.
