Description

HyFlex™ Controlled Memory NiTi Files have been manufactured utilizing a unique process that controls the material’s memory. HyFlex CM files can be used with crown-down, step-back or recommended single length technique.

HyFlex CM NiTi files with Controlled Memory are up to 300% more resistant to cyclical fatigue compared to other NiTi files which substantially helps reduce the incidence of file separation.

No rebound + extreme flexibility = Superior canal tracking
HyFlex Controlled Memory NiTi files have been manufactured utilizing a unique process that controls the material’s memory, making the files extremely flexible, but without the shape memory of other NiTi files. This gives the file the ability to follow
the anatomy of the canal very closely, reducing the risk of ledging, transportation or perforation.

Regains shape after sterilization = Multi-use
The shape and strength of files with straightened spirals can be restored during autoclaving and reused. Files not returning to original shape should be discarded.

Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Ensure proper isolation of the operating field and have all necessary equipment ready.
• Confirm that the files are pre-sterilized before use.

Instrumentation Technique:

• Choose the appropriate file size based on the anatomy of the canal.
• Utilize a crown-down, step-back, or the recommended single-length technique according to your preference and the specific case requirements.

Handling and Technique:

• Hold the file with a firm but gentle grip, allowing for controlled movement.
• Begin the instrumentation process by introducing the file into the canal gradually.
• Follow the natural anatomy of the canal to reduce the risk of procedural errors such as steps, displacements, or perforations.

Flexibility and Canal Tracking:

• Take advantage of the extreme flexibility of HyFlex CM NiTi files to achieve superior canal tracking.
• The unique controlled memory of the files allows them to closely follow the canal’s anatomy, reducing the risk of ledging, transportation, or perforation.

Autoclaving and Reuse:

• After use, clean and sterilize the files using an autoclave.
• The integrated controlled shape memory enables the files to regain their shape after heat treatment, allowing for multi-use.
• Ensure that files returning to their original shape are suitable for reuse; discard any files that do not regain their shape.

Size and Taper Selection:

• Choose the appropriate file size and taper based on the specific requirements of the case.
• The available sizes include 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 with a 4% taper and a length of 21mm.

Safety Measures:

• Be cautious to avoid excessive force during instrumentation to minimize the risk of file separation.
• Monitor the file’s condition, and if there is any sign of deformation or reduced efficiency, replace it.
