Directions for Use

• Ensure Hemostasis Site is Clean: After tooth extraction or minor oral surgery, gently rinse and suction the site to remove blood clots and debris
• Select the Appropriate Size: Choose a Gelasponge piece that fits the extraction socket or surgical site. Trim if necessary using sterile scissors
• Place into the Wound: Insert the Gelasponge directly into the socket or over the bleeding area. Ensure complete contact with the wound surface
• Apply Gentle Pressure: Lightly compress with sterile gauze for 1–2 minutes to initiate haemostasis and allow adherence
• Leave In Situ: Do not remove the sponge. It is fully absorbable and will dissolve over time as the wound heals
• Avoid Excessive Irrigation: Once placed, avoid flushing the site to maintain sponge stability and effectiveness
• Monitor Healing: Instruct the patient to avoid disturbing the area. The sponge typically resorbs completely within a few days, depending on the site and individual healing rate
