Description

Sodium hypochlorite is a chemical compound with the formula NaClO (5%)
sodium hypochlorite is a broad-spectrum disinfectant that effectively disinfection viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mycobacterium. However, sodium hypochlorite is not effective in the disinfection of bacterial spores and prions. Can also be used as an irrigating solution after being diluted.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure you have the appropriate concentration for dental use, typically around 1% to 5% sodium hypochlorite for endodontic procedures.

• Application: Use a syringe or other delivery method to apply the solution directly to the root canal or area requiring disinfection.

• Irrigation: Gently irrigate the canal system with the sodium hypochlorite solution, ensuring even distribution.

• Contact Time: Allow the solution to remain in the canal for about 5-10 minutes to achieve effective disinfection.

• Rinsing: After the contact time, rinse the canal thoroughly with sterile saline or water to remove any residual sodium hypochlorite.

• Safety Precautions: Use personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) and ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with soft tissues and eyes, as the solution can cause irritation.

• Storage: Store the solution in a cool, dark place to maintain its efficacy.
