Directions for Use

• Tooth Preparation: Ensure the tooth surfaces are clean and free of debris or plaque. The lingual surface should be etched using an etching gel, e.g. Waldent BestEtch, to create a micro-roughened surface, promoting better adhesion of the bonding material.
• Bonding Procedure:
  – Isolate the tooth: Use dental dams or cotton rolls to isolate the treatment area and prevent saliva contamination.
  – Apply adhesive: Apply an appropriate orthodontic bonding adhesive to the etched lingual surface of the tooth. Ensure even coverage while avoiding excess adhesive.
  –Place the lingual button: Gently position the bondable round lingual button onto the adhesive-coated surface of the tooth. Ensure proper alignment and placement according to the treatment plan.
  – Light-cure the adhesive: Use a curing light to polymerize the adhesive, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure that all sides of the button receive adequate light exposure for proper bonding.

• Bonding Evaluation: Once the adhesive is cured, evaluate the bond to ensure proper attachment and stability. Check for any excess adhesive or rough edges that could cause discomfort or irritation to the patient.
• Post-bonding Instructions: Provide the patient with post-bonding instructions, including proper oral hygiene practices, dietary restrictions if necessary, and any precautions regarding the lingual buttons.
