Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure the Rolex tracing sticks are stored at room temperature. Verify that all necessary instruments, including impression trays and water bath, are ready and sterilized.

• Selection and Heating: Choose the appropriate tracing stick based on the clinical requirement. Heat the stick by immersing it in hot water (temperature as per manufacturer’s guidelines) until it reaches a pliable consistency.

• Application:

  • Retrieve the softened tracing stick from the water using tweezers or a suitable instrument.
  • Immediately mold and adapt the stick onto the borders of the impression tray where additional molding is required.
  • Use gentle pressure to ensure the stick conforms accurately to the contours of the tray and the oral tissues.

• Border Moulding: Perform border moulding to achieve precise extension and adaptation of the tray borders. Pay attention to sealing the tray properly in areas such as the vestibule and sulcus.

• Cooling and Hardening: Once the desired molding is achieved, quickly cool the tray by placing it in cold water to expedite the hardening process of the Green tracing stick. Allow sufficient time for the material to completely set and harden before removing the tray from the water.

• Final Adjustment: Trim any excess material carefully using a sharp instrument if needed, ensuring a smooth and precise border contour.

• Cleaning and Sterilization: Clean any residual material from instruments and trays promptly. Sterilize instruments and trays according to standard dental sterilization procedures before reuse.

• Post-Procedure: Inspect the impression tray to ensure that the border molding is secure and accurate. Proceed with impression taking or further dental procedures as planned.
