Rolex Beading Wax

Description

Rolex Beading Wax is a soft wax ideal for dentists to use to bead round the edge of a functional impression prior to casting. This technique improves the accuracy of the model by including the peripheral edge and therefore ensures the final denture will have a good peripheral seal.

It is sticky enough to easily adapt at the periphery or edge of impression by hand pressure. It creates the base of the cast and preserves the outer portion of the cast. Used in beading around diagnostic cast for the preparation of master cast.

Soft beading wax is commonly used for extending the periphery of impression trays. It can be used to line the periphery of radiographs to blunt and ‘cushion’ the sharp edges and improve comfort for patients.

• Preparation – Ensure the impression is clean and dry before applying the wax.
• Application – Gently adapt the wax around the periphery of the impression using hand pressure.
